Found $2.42 in 10 Days

In the past 10 days I found $2.42. Woo hoo! Most of this was in one day when I found six quarters in a change tray of a newspaper vending machine. That same day on a walk I found two dimes and two pennies. The rest has been found in a water vending machine, in parking lots, in a bank drive through lane, at gas stations, on the floor of stores. Really the normal places where I tend to find money.

It never gets old. What do you think? Do you look for money when you're out and about?

Found 80 Cents Since We Last Spoke

Okay, so we've never actually spoken, but since the last time you read this blog (and I wrote it) I found 80 cents. Ta da!

Today I stuck my finger in a  change slot of a newspaper machine and a nickel fell out and I felt another coin. A dime! 

Last week I drove to Tucson and stopped (a few times to use the little girls' room). In one truck stop place in the middle of no where I found a quarter on the floor. Whoopee!

Oh, for a few weeks now I've been working on this chair. It was an overstuffed chair that I stripped of its stuffing. It is now a proud planter! As the summer progresses and more plants are blooming, I'll post another photo or two. This was a pain the butt, a whole lot of work, but I really like how it looks!

Found 47 Cents

Well, we're ending up another month so I thought I'd report on my found money. I took a few walks since last time I posted and found 47 cents. Woo hoo! Hey, I'm actually always thrilled to find money. I found these coins (see breakdown below) at a couple of gas stations, in a driveway, at a bowling alley parking lot, and maybe somewhere else. Don't remember now.

Found 95 Cents

Since I last checked in here ( a few weeks, oh my!), I've only found 95 cents. It's better than a kick in the head. Better than nothing. But it's not even a dollar. Oh well.

I haven't been walking as much lately. I did take a walk today and found a whole penny at a gas station! But then I drove to the grocery store and found a quarter in a newspaper vending machine and two pennies on the ground. Yay! This brings my 2016 found money total to $6.86. Not bad, I guess. 

Friday I found some nightstands (free!) and spent yesterday cleaning them up and painting them. I'm not sure I'm done. Here's a photo of how they look (drawers are not in). I painted them a bluish color then brushed a copper color over top. Hmmm. What to do, what to do.

60 Cents in Found Money

I'm settling into a new house in a new town, and one thing that's staying the same is I'm finding money. Not a lot, mind you, but in the past 10 days I've found 60 cents. 

I took a walk yesterday and found 8 cents:  a penny in a church parking lot, another penny by a laundromat, a penny at a gas station. and a nickle under a newspaper vending machine. Ta da!

In the past five days I've found a nice little chunk of change:  $3.21!

I found this money all over the place:  in the street, on the floor of stores, in parking lots and at gas stations, in change trays at the grocery store, in pay phone change trays, and more.

I love finding money! I can't believe I've found more than $65 so far this year. How about you?

The past three days have been okay as far as finding money goes. Not great, but okay. 

Sunday I found 15 cents (10 pennies and a nickel) plus a 5 cent Euro coin! As usual, I won't count the Euro in my found money total.

Monday I found just 4 pennies.

Today I found 3 pennies and a nickel.

I found this money at a gas station, a car wash, parking lots, in the street, and on the floor of a store.

Today I ran some errands and found $1.38:

Then this evening I braved the heat and took a walk. I found another 54 cents! That makes $1.92 that I found today.

So, this windfall puts me over the $35 mark for 2015 so far!

Found 11 Cents in the Boiling Heat

Today I went to my grandson's awards ceremony at his school. So proud of him! The school parking lot was so full that I had to park in a shopping center parking lot and walk a block to the school. When it was time to go get my car, I found some money:

• 3 pennies at a gas station

I think the pollen count must be high here today. My eyes are itchy and watery, and I am so tired. That might be caused by the heat. The mercury hit over 100 today. Ugh. Hate it.

Found 99 Cents and a Canadian 25-Cent Piece in Two Days

Yesterday I took a walk and found 71 cents. Today I rode my bike and found 53 cents. That's a total of $1.24. Actually I just checked the coins carefully and see that one of the "quarters" is really a Canadian 25-cent coin. So, I'm updating this to reflect this. I don't count foreign money in my found money total, but I think it's fun finding foreign coins!

77 Cents Puts Me Over $30 for the Year!

Today I ran some errands and found 27 cents! I was thrilled. Then I found a penny in my parking lot. Then I took a walk and found more! 

In total I found 77 cents today! All pennies and dimes as shown here.

This found money puts me over the $30 mark! So far this year, I've found $30.57! Yay!

I found this money in a grocery store, at a gas station, in some rocks, in the street (even put my car in park and got out to get a penny in front of me), and in a couple of parking lots.

Found 17 Cents at the Store and on a Walk

This morning I went to the grocery store since I was out of milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, you know the drill. Anyway, I found a penny on the floor as I was leaving the store.

Then later this afternoon I walked to Sprouts for their double ad Wednesday sales. On the way, I didn't find a plug nickel (nor a regular nickel or anything else), but on the walk home I found two pennies in the street, three pennies at a gas station, another penny in the street, a nickel in a drive through lane, and a nickel in a parking space in front of an Ace hardware store. 

A worker was out front and saw that I found some money, and we got to talking. He said, "It's always good to find silver money," when I told him I found a nickel. I agreed. Then he told me that one time he found a $100 bill! He was in line at a store and dropped a dollar bill and when he reached down to pick it up, he saw a bill folded into a tiny shape. He put it in his pocket and later unfolded it and saw that it was a $100 bill! 

So cool! The most I've found was a $20 bill once. How about you? What's the largest denomination of money you've found?

Found 3 Pennies Last Week

Last Wednesday I started a dog sitting job and on the drive there, I stopped at a gas station to use the little girl's room. In the parking lot, I found 3 pennies! 

I didn't find any more money while away and now that I'm back home, I'll try to get out and walk in the 'hood and see if I can find more coins and maybe even some bills!

Found 35 Cents on a Bike Ride Today

This evening I rode my bike to the post office to mail a bill. I meandered through just about every parking lot on the way and ended up finding 35 cents!

• 10 pennies:  at a gas station near the vacuums, in a fast food restaurant parking lot, in a liquor store drive through, on the sidewalk, and in a parking space
• 1 quarter:  a fast food drive through

So weird. Yesterday I found a quarter and another today. I rarely find quarters and I've found one two days in a row. I can't believe I've found almost $30 so far this year and it's not even half over. Yay!

Found Money Blog: 42 Cents Found Today

This morning I found a penny in the parking lot when I took out the trash. This afternoon I took a walk to the grocery store and on the way, I found a penny in the street, a penny at a fast food restaurant parking lot, a quarter in the street, then I went to the store. 

On the way home I found a penny and a dime under a bench at a bus stop, 2 pennies at a gas station by a trash can, and a 1955 wheat penny in the street.
