Jackpot! Found $1.92 Today

Today I ran some errands and found $1.38:

• 4 quarters
• 3 dimes
• 1 nickel
• 3 pennies

Then this evening I braved the heat and took a walk. I found another 54 cents! That makes $1.92 that I found today. 

I found these coins all over the place:

• in the street
• in two change trays (a water machine and a soda machine)
• in some rocks near a Starbucks
• in several parking lots, a fast food place and a shopping center
• at a gas station

So, this windfall puts me over the $35 mark for 2015 so far!

Found Three Dimes on a Sidewalk

I've been dog/house sitting this week and stopped at the 99 Cent store today to pick up a lint roller. I'd forgotten how hairy everything gets so before I leave tomorrow I plan to use the lint roller to pick up stray dog fur from the sofas.

As I was leaving the store today, I spotted a dime on the sidewalk then another then a third dime! 30 cents!

Size Matters -- It's a Dime, Not a Penny

I found two pennies this morning then this afternoon I took a walk and found a whole bunch more coins. Here's what and where (as best as I can remember):

• this morning, the two pennies in a parking lot
• then on the walk, four pennies in an apartment building parking lot
• a dime in the street
• a penny in the street
• another dime at a gas station
• a penny at a car wash
• what I thought was a penny in the street (but turns out it was a dime and the only reason I could tell was it was smaller than a penny, just as black as a very tarnished penny though, but size does matter)
• a penny in a parking space in front of an auto parts store

Yay! That's 38 cents found today!

Today was one of those days when I just kept finding coins! I love days like this.

Here is what and where (as far as I can remember):

• a dime in the street
• a quarter, a dime, and two pennies on the floor of a grocery store
• four quarters at a gas station at the entrance of the drive through for the car wash
• another dime in the street as I was about to cross the street
• three pennies at a mall (I never go to malls and really hoped I'd find more!)

The rest is a blur, but a good blur, mind you!

Happy Thanksgiving! Thankful for Found Money and Family

Today I was lucky enough to spend the day with my daughter, son in law, and grandson. That made my Thanksgiving happy. 

I drove a couple of hours and had to make a few pit stops. At a gas station I found a dime inside and a penny in the parking lot. Then later I went to Dollar General for ice and found two dimes and a penny inside the store. So, I found 32 cents today and had a lovely day. Hope you did, too.

Found a 1942 Mercury Dime Plus More Coins

Today I ran some errands and while out here's what I found:

• a dime on the floor at the dollar store
• a penny in the parking lot of the dollar store
• a penny on the floor at the grocery store
• a 1942 Mercury dime under the coin machine at the grocery store
• a dime on the grocery store floor

I was so thrilled to find so many coins but especially the 1942 Mercury dime! Woo hoo! I looked it up and it appears to only be worth about $2 but that's okay. I'll keep this coin separate. I'll put in a pinch dime, sort of like a pinch hitter, in my found money jar.

Today is a gorgeous day here, cool and breezy. I love it! What I would give for more days like this! 

Any way, I took a walk to take advantage of this lovely weather and found a bunch of coins--7 pennies, 3 dimes, and a 25 cent Canadian coin. 

Here's where: in the street, in a Starbucks parking lot, on the floor of the grocery store, and in the change tray at the grocery store. Yay!

I bought some more discounted Easter candy. All the good stuff! Lindt and Dove and Cadbury and some Twix eggs. Yum!

Today I ran a bunch of errands and found a bunch of money. Here's what and where:

• a mangled dime in the street
• a dime and a penny at a Mexican restaurant parking lot
• a penny on the floor at the dollar store
• a penny on the floor at Walmart
• a penny on the floor at the grocery store and then a dime and two quarters in the change tray

I also went to the post office, the library, and the gas station but didn't find any money at those places.

I started today finding a penny, which made me smile. Each coin I find is like a little treasure! But then I found three dimes and another penny. The dimes all really made me smile!

I found the first penny on a walk then two dimes outside a grocery store and the other dime and penny on the floor of the store.

I was thrilled! Three dimes! And six pennies! This brings me to $29.99 for 2013! I am certain I'll find a penny and make it $30.00 before the end of the year! I'm hoping to hit $34.00 or more!
