Found a Penny in the Street

Today I found this penny in the street. The sun hit it just right and it was bright and shiny. When I moved closer, it blended in with the rocks and street so I felt lucky that it caught my eye.

If you remember yesterday I showed so fabric paint and today I used some of the brown paint on the stuffed cactus.

Found a Penny in the Street This Evening

This evening I took a short walk and found a penny in the street! 

I can tell fall is on the way, even though it's topping 100ºF here most days still. For one thing, it's getting dark sooner. By 7 p.m. it's usually pretty well dark now. And it is forecast for a high in the 90s most days coming up, which is always welcome. In the 80s is even better!

Found a 1944 Penny and a New One

Today I finished up my shopping. Finally. Each time I've gone out lately I've said to myself that okay, I'm done. I mean it this time! Enough is enough, and it might just be too much!

So, I parked sort of far away from a store on purpose so it'd be easier to get out of the parking lot and while walking to the store, I found a shiny 2013 penny in the street. Then inside Michael's craft store, I found a penny on the floor by the register. Hark! It's a 1944 penny! I love finding old coins! 

I posed these pennies next to a rock I painted. Here are some tips on painting rocks. It's such a fun, cheap craft and something the whole family can do!

Found 12 Cents and Harry Potter Stamps

Today I had to run more errands (but the good news I think I'm done shopping and going to the post office!).

I was lucky enough to find Harry Potter stamps at the post office. I'll be giving these to one of my grandsons for Christmas. I just checked and you can buy them on Amazon (see photo below).



After leaving the post office, I found a penny in the street. Then I walked to the dollar store for a few things and found a penny on the floor. Then I went to Walmart (ugh) and after leaving there, found a dime in the parking lot. That made up for that experience, I guess.

Today was a banner day for finding money. Here's what I found:

Found a Penny in the Street Next to a Car

I took a walk late this afternoon and spotted a penny in the street next to a car. It's funny that I even saw it because I'd just gotten off the sidewalk and started walking in the street instead. Hot dog!

Today I wrote about feeding my cat on a plate instead of a bowl. It works!

• one penny outside the post office in the drive up lane for the mailboxes
• one penny in the parking lot at Fresh and Easy

Today I strolled around on the sidewalk outside my complex and spotted a penny lying in the street. Sweet!
