Found $2.19 in 4 Days

Today is the last day of July (and there's a blue moon tonight!). The past four days I've found quite a bit of money:

  • Tuesday, July 28:  $1.85 plus a Romanian coin
  • Wednesday, July 29:  17 cents
  • Thursday, July 30:  13 cents
  • today, Friday, July 31:  4 cents

That's a total of $2.19! Woo hoo! I found this money in the usual places:  in the street, on the store of a floor, in parking lots, in a change tray at the grocery store, at a gas station, and other spots I've forgotten.

One penny I found in the street is folded over! It's the coin on the left in the photo.

The coin from Romania looks like a penny but reads 5 Bani, Romania 2011. This coin is under the folded coin, on the left bottom.

5 Days, 60 Cents Found Money

In the past 5 days, I have found 60 cents:

  • Friday, July 24:  nuttin' honey
  • Saturday, July 25:  3 cents

I found this money here, there, and everywhere:  in the street, on the store of a floor, in parking lots, in some rocks by a sidewalk.

One of the pennies I found is a 1956 wheat penny!

Saturday I went camping (yes, in a tent!). Here's a pretty picture of the area north of Flagstaff where we camped.

Vacation Found Money-- $1.82 in 2 Weeks

I just went on vacation to Illinois then drove to the east coast with two sisters. Along my travels I found money, of course!

In total I found $1.82:  4 quarters, 3 dimes, and 52 pennies.

I didn't write down all the places where I found this money but I traveled through 14 states and I found money in most of them.

I also found some miscellaneous stuff that I added to my little snack size bag. Particularly cute are the mini clothespin and a silver charm that reads "Life is tough but I am tougher."

Here is a photo of Liberty Enlightening the World (the Statue of Liberty's real name) from the ferry leaving Liberty Island after we'd visited her.

Have you found any money recently?

Found Money Blog: $1.48 in 5 Days

I'm slacking off here. I've been finding money but too lazy/busy/whatever to post each day. In the last five days I've found $1.48:
  • Tuesday:  66 cents
  • Wednesday:  2 cents
  • Thursday:  24 cents and a Canadian penny
  • Friday:  nuttin' honey
  • Saturday (today):  56 cents
I stacked the coins I found on the latest book I read. Finders Keepers by Stephen King is the follow up to Mr. Mercedes. Both novels are so good!

I just had to show this book because the title is my found money motto:  finders keepers!

Places where I found these coins:
  • parking lots
  • drive through lanes
  • change trays and grocery store floor
  • gas stations
  • sidewalks
  • convenience store
