PO and Big Lots! pennies

Okay, last week I had family visit. We had a great time and drove hundreds of miles:  to Tucson, the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, and Sedona, all around Phoenix. Did I find any money? Heck no. Not a penny. I drove my visitors to the airport yesterday morning so between the four of us, nothing.

But today I ran out to the post office (found 1 penny) then to the library (nothing, well, I found some DVDs and books), to Goodwill because it's half off day (no money though but did buy the dresser scarf in the photo... only 25 cents!), and finally to Big Lots! (1 more penny). Go figure.

Have you found any money lately?

The big time!

Okay. I found some money tonight as I was leaving Fresh and Easy. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Fresh and Easy is a neighborhood grocery store chain. I love it. I had been to my son's celebrating my grandkids' birthdays and stopped by because you can get in and out quickly. And they mark down things that have expiration dates of that day or the next. As someone who considers expiration dates as mere suggestions, this is my kind of place.

So, anyway, as I was leaving, on the pavement right in front of the store, there it was!  We're talking big bucks here. A quarter! Woo hoo! It was tail end up. Turns out it is a state quarter. Utah to be exact. Ta da!!!

This Found Money FACTS:
Denomination: 1 quarter
Year:  2007
U.S. Mint:  Denver
Condition:  dinged up
How many coins/bills found to date: 38
How much found money to date:  $.93
