Happy President's Day -- Found 12 Cents

Today I rode my bike to the post office and library even though they were closed. I dropped a letter in the outside mail box then returned some books to the library. On the way I rode my bike through nearly every parking lot I came to and I found some coins:

• a penny in a restaurant drive through
• 2 pennies in another restaurant drive through
• a nickel in yet another drive through
• a penny in the Target parking lot
• a penny at a gas station near a pay phone
• a penny somewhere (can't remember where!)
• a penny in my parking lot when I got home

Not bad finding 12 coins with two president's images (Lincoln on the pennies and Jefferson on the nickel). Happy President's day!

I posed my found money next to a stuffed lion my friend mailed to me. Cute!

Found 43 Cents Riding My Bike

Well, that's not exactly true. I found a penny in my parking lot when I took out my trash then when I rode my bike I found the other 42 cents, but who's counting?

Anyway, here's where I found the 42 cents:

• a dime and a nickel in a bank parking lot
• a quarter in the street
• two pennies in a fast food drive through lane

I was pretty happy I found all the major coins! It's a little trickier getting the money I find when I'm riding my bike. I often see it as I ride by then have to stop and walk back to get it. It's not a problem, just a little trickier.

I posed these coins with a postcard I got recently from a friend. She used the back of a Cheez Its box to make the postcard. I love it! The white cheddar flavor is my favorite!

Found 11 Cents Today on a Bike Ride

Today was a gorgeous day, nice and sunny. The air was brisk but warm with the sun shining. So, I took a bike ride on my new bike.

To add to my found money jar, I found 11 cents!

First I found a penny in a shopping center parking lot then I found a dime on a sidewalk next to a water vending machine. I rode twice as far as I usually walk, so I think I got in about 4 or 5 miles. It was great!

Merry Christmas from Found Money in the Street

I hope everyone had or is having a merry Christmas! I sure did! I'm tired though now.

I got a new bike for Christmas and took it out for a spin earlier. I'm sore! But while tooling around on it, I found 42 cents! Here's what and where:

• I first found a penny on a sidewalk.
• Then I found two pennies and a quarter in the street while crossing at an intersection. Good thing I was pushing my bike.
• Next I found a penny at a gas station then one at a fast food drive through lane.
• Next I found a dime in the street.
• Then I found two pennies in another drive through lane.
• I don't remember where I found the other penny.

And I didn't report a penny I found on Tuesday so will add it to today's total making it 43 cents found. Yay! This year was a great one for finding money. I'm eager to see how much more I find in the final six days of 2014.

It's starting to get hot here. I decided to go ride my bike a little this morning while it was bearable. I found two pennies!

Rode My Bike and Found 26 Cents!

Today I rode my bike to the post office and on the way home, I spotted this penny in the street. Then I rode down a couple of alleys and found the quarter! It was buried in the dirt but I was walking my bike, spotted a funky metal piece so reached down to get it. That's when I saw the edge of the quarter. Yay!
