Rainy Morning But Found 13 Cents This Afternoon

This morning I picked up a friend and we planned to go to the Desert Botanical Gardens but it was raining, hard. It didn't let up till after 1 p.m. so we shopped a little and had lunch out. Then we shopped a little more. It was a really nice diversion.

Then this afternoon I took a walk and found 13 cents:

  • one penny in the street
  • two pennies and a dime on the grocery store floor

It was a good day. How was your day today?

I posed the found money next to some cute little dog patches that I just listed for sale in my Etsy shop. Woof!

Found Two Pennies in Parking Lot at Fresh and Easy

I went to the botanical gardens today with a friend and walked around for almost 3 hours! Time flies when you're gabbing with a friend.

We spotted this little cactus that looks like it has snow on top. The high today in Phoenix was 63 degrees Fahrenheit, so of course it's not snow. It was some sort of fuzzy white growth. Maybe flower buds?

On the way home I stopped at Fresh and Easy (yes, I love that store!) and found two pennies in the parking lot in front of the store.

Found a Penny at the Desert Botanical Garden

Today I went to the Desert Botanical Garden with my daughter-in-law and two grandkids. We rode the hay wagon and the kids got to pick out a pumpkin. There were lots of games and crafts and a petting zoo with a miniature horse, three goats, chickens, and  a pig! Plus we visited the butterfly exhibit. Lots of fun!

And while we were walking back to the parking lot, I spotted a penny!

Here's a photo of a sculpture on display at the garden. Interesting, huh? I'm not sure what it is. Most of the others were cactus. The sign said it was a sculpture by Carolina Escobar. The name? Untitled. That helps a lot!

Found a Dime at the Post Office

I went to the Desert Botanical Gardens this morning with some cute kiddos. I made some high-tech binoculars for them so they wouldn't miss a thing. In this case, high-tech = toilet paper roll, felt and ribbon. Hey, they liked them.

On the way home I stopped at the post office. And I found this dime! It was just lying on the floor, which begs the question:  Are other people oblivious (yes, much of the time) or am I more observant (yes, some of the time). What do you think? Do you think you see things others miss? Like coins on the floor?
