2 Days of Found Money Total $1.13

In  case you hadn't noticed, I've started lumping a few days of found money together sometimes. Today is one of those times. I just get busy and even though it only takes me a few minutes to add a blog post, well, some days I'm lazy or busy or whatever.

So, two days ago I found 2 pennies while out running errands. I can't remember where now but I found them and they're shown in the photo.

Yesterday I didn't find any money. *sad face*

Today I found a penny on the pavement beside my car at the library parking lot then later I went to the store and on my way back to my car, I found a dollar bill!!!!! and 5 pennies and a nickel! Yee haw!

So, that makes $1.13 found over the course of 2 days (or 3 days if you're counting the dud day). Yay!

Found 4 Cents Today

This afternoon I ran to the library to pick up a few books on reserve and while out I found 4 pennies!

First I found a penny next to a car as I was leaving the library. Then I found a penny in front of the grocery store and another two pennies inside on the grocery store floor.

Found Money Blog: 13 Cents Plus a Hong Kong Dime

This afternoon I went to the library to pick up some books on reserve. I didn't find any money there but I also went to Target and found a penny and a dime on the floor! 

Then I went to the grocery store and found a penny in the parking lot on the way in to the store and once inside I found another penny on the floor and a little coin in the tray of the coin machine. It is a 1990 coin that reads:  Queen Elizabeth the Second with her profile on the front of the coin, and on the back it reads Hong Kong, 10, 1990, ten cents. It also has a Chinese symbol. I'll have to get my son to tell me what it says. I just love finding foreign coins!

As usual I won't add this coin's value to my found money total. And I couldn't easily find the value of this coin in American dollars. Anyone?

Oh, I posed today's found money next to this cute little guy. My grandson gave him to me. He called it a pop eye penguin. When you squeeze his head, his eyes pop out. Really funny and cute!

Today I needed to go to the library so I parked sort of far away in a grocery store parking lot and moseyed all around hitting lots of parking lots of restaurants and other stores, crossed a busy street, and generally just wandered around looking for money. And find it I did!

I found 10 pennies, a nickel, and a dime!

Finally Feeling Better and I Found 17 Cents

Today I finally ventured out again, having just left the house last week to go to the doctor and a quick trip to the store. I'm recovering well from the shingles. Ugh. Can't believe I got shingles!

I just checked and there's this handy dandy book to understanding shingles. I would have liked to have known more about it before I became afflicted!


Today I went to the thrift store to drop off some books. I'm trying to declutter inch by inch. Seven books out the door. Yay!

Then I headed to the library where I had some books on reserve waiting for me. Then I went to the grocery store where I found four coins:

• a penny in a change tray
• a nickel in the change tray of a copier
• a penny on the floor
• a dime near a checkout lane

It had been almost a week since I'd found any money so I was tickled pink!

Yay! I just love days like this when I keep spotting money. I wish some had been silver but 14 cents is just fine with me!

Today I took a friend to the airport then went to a grocery store. I found a penny on the floor as I entered the store next to the corn on the cob bin. 

Later today I realized I needed to go to the library so went this evening and found two pennies in the parking lot then went to another store and found a quarter on the floor. Yes!

Found Three Pennies Today

Today I went to the post office, the library, and the grocery store. I found a penny in some rocks by chance while walking to the post office. I'm really surprised I saw it because it was dirty and the same brown as the rocks. It makes me think we walk by or over or on money all the time!

Then at the grocery store I found two pennies in two different spots. Yay! I love find money even if it's just pennies.

Found Three Cents While at the Library and Grocery Store

I ran to the library today to return three books that were due today. They were Best Picks and couldn't be renewed. Oh well. I'd read two of them (After I'm Gone by Laura Lippman and Still Life with Bread Crumbs by Anna Quindlen). I'll check out Frog Music by Emma Donoghue another time.

After I left the library I found a penny in front of some dumpsters. Then I went to the store and found two pennies on the floor. Yay!

Found a 1955 Dime Today Plus More Coins

Today I had to go to the post office and while I was walking back to my car, which I parked across the street, I found these coins:

• a penny on the sidewalk in front of a store
• a dime in an empty parking space
• a penny on the floor at Walmart (yes, I took a shopping detour)
• and another penny in a parking space at Walmart

Then I drove to the library and then stopped in at the grocery store where I found the 1955 dime in the coin machine. Someone either didn't want it or forgot about it in there. Love finding the older coins.

So, with this 23 cents I found, it puts me over the $20 mark this year and it's not even June yet! 

I posed this found money next to some rocks I'm painting. I'll pose more found money next to them when they're done. (I guess I should say, I hope I find more money!)

UPDATE:  I just found another penny in the street! That makes 24 cents today.

Today I went to the library to return a few books and pick up some on hold. I found a dime under the table near the printer. Yes, copies are 10 cents. Then I found two pennies and a dime in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant.

Found 31 Cents Today

This morning I took out the trash and found a penny by the dumpster! I was happy but then later today I had to return some library books that were due. After dropping them off and choosing a few other books, I walked around the parking lot of a large shopping center.

• a penny in a Chipotle parking lot
• a penny in a bank drive through driveway
• three pennies and a nickel in a fast food drive through
• a nickel behind a car
