Found 13 Cents in the Parking Lot, at the Library, and at the Grocery Store

Today I went to run a few errands. First I parked in the grocery store parking lot and walked to the library. On the way, I found the shiny 2012 penny in the parking lot.

Then at the library I found another penny! I picked up the DVD of Season 2 of Boardwalk Empire and checked it out.

Then I went to Fry's and spotted the dime under an endcap on the floor next to a checkout lane.

Then while checking out, I found the last penny on the floor.

The 1972 penny is stamped "S," which means it was made in San Francisco. Yay! I rarely find coins with the S mint mark.

  1. I have visited your Found Money blog in the past but this time I arrived via your link share on RedGage. I really should start keeping track of my found money, too, as this is fun! (Amd lucrative!)

I really should have kept track when I worked at my last restaurant job. We also had a drive-thru window. I was the breakfast server so each morning around 7am I would park my car and walk straight over to the DT and every morning I found money! I usually found a little more when I left every afternoon, too! The most I ever found at once was a five dollar bill amid the change on the ground.

So...don't forget to check DT windows early in the mornings! Night shift doesn't like to sweep the parking lot, ha!
