Found a Penny on the Floor at Fresh and Easy

Today I found a penny on the floor at Fresh and Easy. It is a mess, all scratched and dented, but that's okay!

Found 7 Cents in Scottsdale

Today I went to get my hair cut and it actually turned out great!

Then I headed to a shopping area with Hobby Lobby and Michael's. I parked between the two stores, and went to Hobby Lobby first and checked out the clearance shelves. Then I walked to Michael's to do the same. One way, I spotted a nickel in the parking lot then a penny!

Then I went to my son's house. On the way out to my car, I spotted a penny in the street. Woo hoo! Seven cents!

Check out my new, bigger found money jar! It's up there in the left corner. My old one was plumb full! And that's a good thing.

Found a Dime at Scottsdale Library

Today I woke up early. It was weird. I never wake up early. But it was 6:30 and I was wide awake, ready to go. So I got up and showered and fiddled around on the computer, ate breakfast while watching the first episode of Masterpiece Classic Collision. It was good! More later!

By then it was 9 a.m. I am usually still waking up about then. But today I felt sort of antsy since it was only 79 out and that felt so cool! I headed out to the Scottsdale library to return some DVDs and books and to pick up a DVD on reserve. While there I got a culture pass for the botanical garden and spotted a dime on the counter. Yay!

Then I went to the 99 Cent store and Fresh and Easy but didn't find any more money. Have you found any money lately?

Found 2 Pennies at Peter Piper Pizza

Today I had the good fortune of going to Peter Piper Pizza! I took two of my grandkids and before playing a machine, we checked the little change trays to see if we found any tokens. We actually found several! My grandson also found a nickel, and I found a penny! Then as we were leaving, I found a penny on the floor.

I am exhausted. It's just so exciting! Did you find any money somewhere fun (or boring) today?

Found 2 Cents Outside Fresh and Easy

Today I volunteered then drove to the post office. I bought these stamps. Aren't they pretty? Then I headed over to Fresh and Easy. I sometimes find money in the change trays there but no luck today. 


As I was walking out of the store, I spotted these two pennies though on the sidewalk. They were in a line like someone had a hole in their pocket and tinkle tinkle down went the coins!

Watched Someone Drop a Penny and I Got It

Today I ran some errands including going to the gas station. I don't drive much so only fill up every 3 or 4 weeks usually. The pump wasn't working right; I couldn't change the choice of gas from diesel to regular unleaded. So I had to go inside to have the cashier void my credit card at the pump. 

While I was standing in line, there was a woman and a man in line in front of me. The woman (a girl really in her teens or early 20s maybe) dropped a penny when she got her change. She knew she dropped it but left without picking it up. Then the guy paid for his lottery tickets. He didn't pick it up either! 

SCORE! This is the first time I've seen someone drop money and just ignore it. Amazing! That explains a lot about why there's so much change floating around, I guess.

Found a Dime in the Phoenix Children's Museum Parking Lot

Today I went with two of my cute grandkids to the Phoenix Children's Museum. When I got out of the car, I spotted this dime next to another car. I had my camera with me so took this photo. See the shadow of the rear view mirror? Love that!

We had lots of fun inside the museum. It wasn't so busy as other times we've been, so the kids could play without vying for the toys and trikes and stuff. It was great!

Here's a photo of the two of them scooping split peas and lentils and weighing them. Have you ever run your fingers through dried beans? It's a wonderful feeling!
