Happy New Year! Found 2 Cents to End 2014

Today I feel lucky that I found some money to end 2014. I wanted to end the year on a good note and this does it. 

Earlier today I went to Sprouts for a few things and found a penny as I was leaving the store. The penny was sitting up on its side in a  crack in the sidewalk just waiting for me.

Then this evening a neighbor called and asked if I'd take her and a friend to a bar so they didn't have to drive. I was happy to do this then after dropping them off, I went to Fresh and Easy. I found a penny in the self checkout change tray there. 

So, that's 2 more cents found in 2014. This brings my 2014 found money total to a whopping $46.61. That's more than $10 more than I found in 2013 so I'm happy!

I got this wonderful book I Must Say: My Life As a Humble Comedy Legend from my son for Christmas, and it's so funny, just like Marty himself. I just love this guy!

Found 11 Cents Today on a Bike Ride

Today was a gorgeous day, nice and sunny. The air was brisk but warm with the sun shining. So, I took a bike ride on my new bike.

To add to my found money jar, I found 11 cents!

First I found a penny in a shopping center parking lot then I found a dime on a sidewalk next to a water vending machine. I rode twice as far as I usually walk, so I think I got in about 4 or 5 miles. It was great!

Update:  This evening I went to Fresh and Easy and found two pennies on the floor of the store. Yay! That brings today's found money total to 13 cents.

Today I took a walk and found three coins:

• a penny and a dime in a drive through lane of a chicken joint
• a penny in the street (in the gutter to be precise)

So, with just two more days till the new year, I've found $46.46 so far in 2014!

Found 60 Cents on a Walk

Today I headed out on a walk and found a mess of coins! Sixty cents worth!

• 3 pennies, 1 dime, and 1 quarter in a McDonald's drive through lane
• 3 pennies, 1 nickel, and 1 dime in a bank drive through lane
• 2 pennies at a gas station behind a parked car
• 2 pennies in the street on the way home

I just love finding money!

Found 7 Coins Total Yesterday and Today

I went to bed last night and as I was reading, I realized I didn't post to my found money blog for the day! I had found two pennies but forgot to post here because I left them in my purse. I was wearing sweatpants, so that's the reason. I usually stick my found money in my pants pocket and take it out when I get home. Oh well! No harm, no foul.

So yesterday, I found those two pennies and I can't remember where. 

Today though, I went to Goodwill (half off day) and ran some other errands andfound these coins:

• two pennies on the floor of a grocery store in a checkout lane
• a dime on the floor in the deli
• a penny in a change tray then a nickel in another change tray, both at self checkout registers

Yay! That makes 20 cents found yesterday and today. 

I posed them next to a cute Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy vintage juice glass I just listed in my Etsy shop.

Oh, one of the coins is a 1934 penny! I really like finding old coins.

Merry Christmas from Found Money in the Street

I hope everyone had or is having a merry Christmas! I sure did! I'm tired though now.

I got a new bike for Christmas and took it out for a spin earlier. I'm sore! But while tooling around on it, I found 42 cents! Here's what and where:

• I first found a penny on a sidewalk.
• Then I found two pennies and a quarter in the street while crossing at an intersection. Good thing I was pushing my bike.
• Next I found a penny at a gas station then one at a fast food drive through lane.
• Next I found a dime in the street.
• Then I found two pennies in another drive through lane.
• I don't remember where I found the other penny.

And I didn't report a penny I found on Tuesday so will add it to today's total making it 43 cents found. Yay! This year was a great one for finding money. I'm eager to see how much more I find in the final six days of 2014.
