Closing Out the Old, Welcoming the New

Here it is. The end of 2016. This has been a year of changes for me and for many. Lots of our movie and television friends have died and some have lost people they actually know. This is always a hard thing to deal with and I'm hoping 2017 brings good changes for us all. (But on many fronts, I'm not holding my breath.)

So, since I last posted here I've found $1.04 plus a Canadian quarter and dime. This brings my 2016 found money grand total to....... drum roll please.......... $39.64. Not that great but not bad, I guess. It certainly didn't come close to my last year's total (over $100).

Here's a nice 2017 calendar to usher in the new year.

Have you found any money lately? I hope so and here's hoping we all find plenty of whatever it is we need in the new year.

  1. We are currently clearing out my husband's study area. So far we have found GB pounds and pennies (we're in the UK so this is what we should be spending), US and Canadian dollars and cents, Euros and zlotys from Poland. We're not done yet so I haven't totted up the grand total yet.

    2. So far from the lot that landed on the dressing table last week, around 75p in GBP, several dollars' worth of nickels, dimes and quarters, around 2 Euros in coins and somewhere around 25 zlotys. Mr Chazer is allergic to change so he tends to scatter it like confetti around his room and clears it out in my direction every now and again. I have him on a promise that we will pay in the loose change when we go to town next weekend to spend Christmas gift vouchers. I think he will be surprised how much we find.
