Today as I was walking into Fresh and Easy, I spotted a penny. Stuck in the asphalt. But something I found out today, with the temperature just over 100, is that when it's that hot out, the asphalt, the gooey part, is soft. First I tried to pry it up with my fingernail but it didn't budge but the asphalt did. So, I used my car key and it popped right up. I used a tissue to pick it up and of course it stuck.
Oh well. A found penny is a found penny.
As you can see it's a mess. I think I'll put this penny in a little bag and then put it in my found money jar. And the penny was tails up so I can't read the date on this one.
