It's Lemon Time Again and a Found Penny!

First, a recap of 2010's Found Money:

TOTAL FOUND MONEY:  I found $10.68 in 2010. This is less than what I thought I'd find, but never having tracked my found money before, maybe it's a lot more than I normally find. Who knows. I guess I'll continue since it is fun to keep track of these little windfalls or not so little windfalls, like the pile of coins I found in September.

TYPE OF FOUND MONEY:  I think it's interesting that I didn't find any paper money all year. Let's hope 2011 is the year of found PAPER money! And lots of it for all of us!

FIRST FOUND MONEY OF 2011:

The lemons are ready again. I still haven't gotten used to Arizona. It's January and the lemons are ripe. We had some really cold weather over the New Year's weekend. The temperature was below freezing for at least three nights, but my friends Barbara and Les gave me lemons they'd picked from her mom's trees. She said they had to be careful not to disturb the hummingbird nest in one tree. I'd love to see a baby hummingbird!

So, on my way to her house, I found a penny in the driveway. Let the games begin!

This Found Money FACTS:

  1. I love it! I never thought to keep track of found money, but it's a fun idea. I found a quarter at the post office a few weeks ago and turned to my dad and said "Now my two cents is worth O' so much more!"
