Late Night Trip to the Grocery Store -- A penny lurks

I was headed home last night from my son's house where I'd enjoyed time with two of my grandkids. We played several games of Wits and Wagers Family (fun, fun, fun!), made some Christmas candy (licked the bowl is more like it!), and generally had a great time!

Oh, and I need to announce my son's new Website, ParkGrades.com. Here is the blurb from his site:

ParkGrades.com offers the largest, most accurate directory of city parks in the United States! We're adding beaches and museums, too! The need for a site like ParkGrades is clear to any parent of young children. Ask a given parent about parks near them, and you'll have a good idea of what's out there. But ask that same parent if they know which park they'd recommend across town, across state, or across the country -- there's no great way to find that out! Until now.

Check it out! This weekend (and through Christmas Eve), they're giving away a prize a day. Just register, review a park or two, and sit back waiting to win! And enjoy a park if the weather permits.

I've been having a hankering for tacos so I stopped at Safeway to buy some ground beef and found a penny on the floor when I was checking out. Yay!

And today I ran out to run some errands, do some last minute shopping. I went to the Borders at the fancy schmanzy Biltmore Fashion Park (oh brother) and found a grungy penny on the brick walkway. Good enough for my found penny jar!

Okay, went to Walmart and found 4 more pennies!

Are you ready for Christmas?
