So, I have several stacks of coins on my desk and thought it was time to post about what I've found.
Since I last posted here, I've found a whopping $2.56 plus a Canadian penny and a car wash token. Yay! Isn't that a fancy car wash token with the brass center and silver outside? It's probably not brass and it's certainly not silver but it's pretty!
I found the car wash token in a coin machine change tray (where all the rejects go to live). It was there all by itself so I brought it home with me. What I can never understand is why people leave change (actual coins!) in those change trays but some of this money came from such places. Hmmm.
I found a 1941 nickel. I just checked Amazon and woo hoo. Check out how much they're selling one for.
I just love finding the older coins. I need to sort through my stash and separate out the older ones to see if they're worth anything.
I also found money in all the usual places: parking lots, floors of stores, drive through lanes, newspaper and water vending machines, and on and on.
One day I was walking along in a parking lot and I kicked something. I heard it make a tinkling sound. I looked down and it was a penny! I can't believe I missed it but then found it because I kicked it. Go figure!
Have you found any money lately? If so, where did you find it? Anywhere fun or interesting or unusual? Do tell!
