Found 6 Pennies Today and Some Glasses

Today I walked to Sprouts for a few things. It's about 8 blocks (a mile) one way I'd guess. Round trip it takes me a little over an hour because I'm pokey and that includes the time in the store.

Anyway, I found 6 cents. Here's where:

• on the way there, 1 penny in the street
• on the way home, 3 pennies at a gas station
• on the way home, 2 more pennies in the street in different spots

I also found these glasses. They must be magnifiers. I'll probably just put them in the donate bag. I have my own glasses.

I love finding money! It's amazing how much money is just lying around out there to find! Have you found any lately?

Found 19 Cents Today

Well, today was a great day for me for finding money! As you can see from the photo, I found six coins:  four pennies, a nickel, and a dime.

• pennies:  on the floor in front of a vending machine, on the floor at the library, in the change tray at the grocery store, in a parking lot
• nickel:  in the street
• dime:  in the street in front of a bus stop

Banner Day for Finding Money -- 36 Cents

Today I ran some errands and here's what (and where) I found:

• found a dime in a parking lot walking to the post office
• found a dime on the floor at the post office
• found 4 pennies and a dime on the floor at Walmart in the aisle behind the registers
• found 1 penny while in line at Walmart
• found 1 penny in the parking lot at Fresh and Easy

I was thrilled! Three dimes! And six pennies! This brings me to $29.99 for 2013! I am certain I'll find a penny and make it $30.00 before the end of the year! I'm hoping to hit $34.00 or more!

Today I Found 2 Pennies

Today I found a penny in the street then one in the parking lot at the grocery store. Yay!

And Two Pennies Makes $25!

Today I walked a few blocks to the store for a few things. Actually I didn't need anything but I had a couple for TP that was going to expire tomorrow and wanted to use it. 

On the way home, I spotted these two pennies lying in the dirt next to the sidewalk so I snapped them up. 

That brings my 2013 found money total to $25! This surpasses last year (my best year to date till now) by nearly $10. Yay!

Found Two Pennies in a Dumpster

Yes, you read that right. I found these two pennies today in a dumpster! That's a first! 

I went out to get my mail, took my trash out, and went on my way. I decided to walk around the parking lot to see if I spotted any money. Nope, but I did find some trash. So, I picked up a few things and took it to another dumpster to throw away. Inside the dumpster, right on top of what looked like a child's pull up (I know, a pull up!) were these two pennies! The pull up was folded so that nothing, er, unsightly was showing. Except these two pennies!

So, I reached in and couldn't reach. My armpit sort of hung up on the edge of the dumpster. Ugh. I went over to a pile of rocks, got one and set it in front of the dumpster. That did the trick! It raised me up enough to reach these bad boys!

I brought them home and gave them (and my hands) a bath. Isn't that weird that they were just sitting there? I wonder if someone threw them in with other trash or set them on top of the diaper (it could have been a diaper) or pull up (not sure??) to see if someone would find it. Nah, I doubt it. 

I set the pennies on my messy coffee table. I've been sewing stuff, in case you couldn't tell. I made this mug rug (coaster) for my sister last week. I'm still in the sewing mood so all my sewing junk is still out, everywhere.

Found a Penny in the Parking Lot on This Hot (Almost) Summer Day

Today I ran some errands: I went to the post office, the dollar store, then to Sprouts. Even though I scoped out the floors and parking lots, I didn't find any money.

Today I mailed a belated birthday gift to my nephew who likes rocks and geology. I made him a little pouch and added some rocks with labels for his rock collection. I think this little rock kit turned out kind of nice.

I got home and while walking to my place, I spotted a penny! 

It's really hot here in Arizona. Ugh. It's 102 now with a projected high of 109. Yuck. Hope it's cooler where you are! At least we don't have humidity, making it feel like we're roasting instead of steaming.

Found a Penny Outside and a Dime in a Store

Today I ran to the fabric store to pick up some sew on patches. Walking from my car to the store, I saw this gnarly penny in the dirt. It is a mess:  beat up with a gouge in one side and is so dirty I can't read the year. But it's a penny!

Then I went to Sprouts to stock up on fruit and vegetables (and some double-dipped chocolate covered peanuts since they were on sale!). As I entered the store, I saw this dime on the floor!

Found One Penny in Some Dirt

Today I ran a few errands and I found a penny by the sidewalk in some dirt. It's a mess so I'm not going to bother taking its picture. Just imagine a really dinged up, tarnished penny. There. That's what it looks like.

Okay, last time I mentioned that my CD/DVD drive was spitting out my DVDs. Boo hiss! It also spit out the lens cleaner CD I bought. Well, then I bought some CD/DVD FastWipes. Just like these shown here. Problem solved! At least for now! Yay!

Found a Penny in the Parking Lot Across the Street

I've been feeling poorly. It's just a cold, I think, but it keeps lingering. So, I haven't been out and about much lately. I did go to the post office and grocery store the other day but have mostly been staying home.

Today I decided to get myself dressed, take out the trash, and go for a little walk. I walked across the street to the office building parking lot where I often find coins. I found this penny!

I posed it next to some bottle cap earrings I made and am selling in my Etsy shop. Since most the bottle caps are from Mexican beer, I cut up a taco box for display.

Found a Penny at Goodwill

Today was half off day at Goodwill so I hit two of them. At the first one, I was standing in line to check out. Two people were in line ahead of me. The guy checking out paid with cash and dropped a penny. He left. The next person paid and left. 

I walked up and picked up the penny! Amazing, isn't it, how coins go unnoticed or ignored?  It is to me anyway.

Took a Walk and Found 5 Pennies

Today I had to run to the post office so afterward I took my trusty magnet for a walk. The weather is so nice these days for a walk, so I'm taking advantage of it every day I can. 

Soon enough it's going to be boiling here and I won't even want to walk to my car let alone take a walk.

I found five pennies! I also found some good junk. I'm going to make another tin can man from an evaporated milk can. He's all punched and ready to go so I'll work on it tonight. I'll post a picture when he's all done!

Found a Dime at Goodwill

Found 36 Cents Today!

Today I went to the post office to mail a package then to the dollar store where I found a dime and quarter on the floor! Then I went to Fry's to return something and pick up some cat treats. I found a penny on the floor in the checkout lane.

So, I dropped off the bags then walked over to Big Lots. I just got a few things and as I was walking back to my car, I saw a bright shiny penny in the parking lot.

Found a Nickel in the Change Tray at the Grocery Store

Today I went to Fresh and Easy to do my "big" shopping. All that means is I printed off one of their coupons for $4 off if you spend $30. Since I needed quite few things I was out of like canola oil, rice, kitty litter, stuff like that, I knew I could easily spend $30. 

Fresh and Easy is a chain of stores, but the stores are small, so I usually do "big" shopping at Fry's (Kroger). But with the $4 off, I like to go there occasionally.

As I was checking out, I saw this nickel in the change tray! It's mine now.
