Found 17 Cents at the Store and on a Walk

This morning I went to the grocery store since I was out of milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, you know the drill. Anyway, I found a penny on the floor as I was leaving the store.

Then later this afternoon I walked to Sprouts for their double ad Wednesday sales. On the way, I didn't find a plug nickel (nor a regular nickel or anything else), but on the walk home I found two pennies in the street, three pennies at a gas station, another penny in the street, a nickel in a drive through lane, and a nickel in a parking space in front of an Ace hardware store.

A worker was out front and saw that I found some money, and we got to talking. He said, "It's always good to find silver money," when I told him I found a nickel. I agreed. Then he told me that one time he found a $100 bill! He was in line at a store and dropped a dollar bill and when he reached down to pick it up, he saw a bill folded into a tiny shape. He put it in his pocket and later unfolded it and saw that it was a $100 bill!

So cool! The most I've found was a $20 bill once. How about you? What's the largest denomination of money you've found?

Found Eleven Cents at Sprouts

Today I went to volunteer but about halfway through, the power went off. We had to stop and wait for the power to come back on so we gabbed awhile. When the power did come on, we were told to wait and let the computers rest. So we did. We gabbed and gabbed. Then the power went off again so I left. I can take a hint.

I went to Ace Hardware to get a house key made then went to Sprouts for fruit and vegetables. When I went to check out, I spotted this penny by a check out lane that wasn't open. Then in the lane next to me, I saw this dime. Yay!

I was beginning to wonder when I'd find another coin or bill!

Are you staying cool? Finding any money?

Found 77 Cents!

Today I went to Ace Hardware to get a spare key made. When I was done, I decided to take my trusty magnet on a stick out of the trunk and walk around the large parking lot and behind the buildings (there's also a Food City, an auto parts store, and a bowling alley in the complex) to see what I could find.

Well, what I found was a bunch of metal junk and 77 cents! I was shocked and amazed! There is an empty building in one corner of the parking lot and in the dirt next to building I found the majority of this money. I found one quarter in the parking lot, a nickel in the street when I glanced over while walking on the sidewalk. Ta da! Jackpot!!

Have you found any money these days? This has convinced me I need to hit more parking lots! Why not?
