Found 52 Cents Today

This afternoon I ran a few errands. I found a penny at the grocery store on the floor in front of the deli counter. Later I took a short walk and found another penny and two quarters in my parking lot as I was leaving to head out.

Found Money Blog: 52 Cents Richer

I walked to the grocery store this morning and once inside I hit pay dirt! I found a dime on the floor in the dairy section then a dime and nickel in the coin machine at the front of the store! 25 cents! I was thrilled!

Then I walked across the street and found a penny in the intersection. It was a mess, all scratched up and gouged in a couple of places. 

At a gas station I found a quarter in the tray of a pay phone! On the way home I found another penny in the gutter of the street. That makes 52 cents found today.

Found 52 Cents This Day

Today I did some Christmas shopping and found quite a few coins. Just take a look!

• a penny in the street
• a penny and a dime in front of a store
• two pennies, a nickel, and two dimes at a car wash
• two pennies in a parking spot
• a penny at a gas station

I actually washed my car and when I was done, wandering around by the vacuums looking for coins (which I found!), I noticed that someone had used one of the vacuums and left with time left on it. So, being the cheapskate that I am, I drove over and used up the remaining suction. I got most of the floors tidied up. Nice!

So, are you finding more coins this time of year, too? I think people are just dropping more coins as they are shopping. What do you think?

UPDATE:  I just ran to the grocery store where I found a nickel in the change tray of the self-checkout register! Yay! That brings today's found money total to a whopping 57 cents.

Today I had to run to the post office and run some other errands. While at the dollar store, I found two pennies on the floor in two different places.

Later when I was walking here in the complex, I spotted a quarter in some rocks and then another!

Happy Mother's Day and Found 52 Cents

Today two of my grandkids came to see me for mother's day. It was great! We just goofed off, watching cartoons, playing on the iPad, then we took a short walk. They each found two cents! Since they found it and took it home, that four cents doesn't count for my found money blog. 

But later, I took a walk and found all of this change! 52 cents!
