I Did It! I Did It! $100+ Found in 2015

Today I was on a mission.

As I mentioned in my last post, as of Tuesday, December 29, I had found $99.85 this year! I had to find 15 cents more to make it an even $100. Or more, of course!

Yesterday on my walk I found two pennies and a dime so that brought the year's total to $99.97. Not good enough! 

This morning I went to two thrift stores and three other stores and only found 1 penny in the parking lot in front of Big Lots. Ugh. So this afternoon I took my last walk of 2015. I went my regular route and didn't find a thing! Then as I was about to head home, I scouted out the McDonald's drive through and yep, there it was! I found 37 cents (two pennies, a dime, and a quarter). Whoopee!

So that brings my found money total for 2015 to $100.35! I'm tickled pink!

So, this past week I found $1.68 in coins in the usual places:  parking lots, floor of a store, change trays of vending machines, drive through lanes. This brings my found money for 2015 to a total of $99.85! 

So, that means I'm only 15 cents away from $100 of found money for the year! Yes!!! I know in the next 2 days I can find that. Right? Right! 

I'm on a mission so will keep looking till I find it!

Found Money This Past Week: $1.18

The past week I've found money nearly every day. In total I found $1.18. Not a ton but this is moving me very close to breaking that $100 mark for found money in 2015. Will I do it? I really hope so!

In addition to the coins I found, I also found three foreign coins (2 Canadian 25-cent coins, a 20-cent Euro) and a car wash token. Score!

As you can see, it's lemon season here in Arizona. I made lemonade with my grandson today. Delicious!

Found Money Blog: Six Days, $4.54

Well, I hit the jack pot today! I found $4.35! This was spread out over the following places:  the floor of a store and of a restaurant, a drive through lane, and a change tray of a coin machine. I also found 19 cents the other five days for a grand total over six days of $4.54.

In today's found money I found a 1926 wheat penny and a car wash token and a Tubac Golf Resort token. And what a coinky-dink... I went with friends this morning to the Tubac Golf Resort for breakfast. How about that?

77 Cents Puts Me Over $30 for the Year!

Today I ran some errands and found 27 cents! I was thrilled. Then I found a penny in my parking lot. Then I took a walk and found more! 

In total I found 77 cents today! All pennies and dimes as shown here.

This found money puts me over the $30 mark! So far this year, I've found $30.57! Yay!

I found this money in a grocery store, at a gas station, in some rocks, in the street (even put my car in park and got out to get a penny in front of me), and in a couple of parking lots.

Found Money Blog: Found 39 Cents on a Walk

Today I sorted, pitched, donated, and generally worked my fingers to the bone. And by late afternoon I was tired and sore but I decided to take a walk. I'm glad I did. I found 39 cents:  3 dimes and 9 pennies.

Here are some of the places I found money:  couple of pennies in front of an ATM, a dime in the street, a dime in a change tray at the grocery store, pennies on the store of the floor. 

And with this 39 cents of found money I am officially over $25 for the year so far!

Found 5 Pennies and Tiny Zip Tie

This afternoon I took a short walk and found 5 pennies:

• 3 in a bank drive through lane
• 1 at a fast food restaurant parking lot
• 1 at another fast food restaurant

And I spotted this little yellow zip tie! Isn't it adorable!? I have found quite a few zip ties when I've taken walks and I pick them up and bring them home. The others have all been black and though varying in size, much bigger than this little guy. It's so cute!

I just found this assortment (they call them cable ties) and it includes some little yellow ones! Just in case you need some of your own.
