Found Three Pennies and One Pressed Penny

I took my magnet for a walk (it needs lots of exercise) and picked up plenty of junk. I also spotted three pennies and one pressed penny!

I sort of collect pressed pennies (also called flat pennies, elongated coins, smashed pennies) because when I see a machine, I get a few for my grandkids. I don't really keep them myself though. 

This one is from the Phoenix Zoo, and even though I washed it, it's still sort of dirty. I'll try cleaning it and checking to see which of my grandkids want it. I decided not to keep it for my found money jar since it's smashed.  ;o)

Found Four Cents Today

Today I called one of my sisters and walked around the complex while we talked. In the parking lot, I spotted a penny! I figured, great! Lucky Day! Then I rode my bike up to the bank and one the way, spotted two more pennies in the gutter. I stopped and picked them up then on the way home found one more penny beside a truck. No one was there so I snatched it up.

Isn't this plate cute? It reads:  "It Pays To Look Clean." Perfect and so true, especially if you're a plumber who goes into people's houses. I found this plate (and three others, all with different images and words) at Goodwill on Saturday.

Found a Dime at the Library

Today I ran to the Phoenix library and as I was leaving spotted this dime on the floor. I swear, found money is all about being at the right place at the right time (and looking down).

Found a Penny by My Car Today

Today after volunteering, I headed over the the trusty Dollar Tree for some truly cheap stuff:  hairspray (who cares what kind, I just need a bit of something to keep the gray hairs from flying completely away); ammonia (I shall clean those burner drip pans!); and matches. I ended up getting more than just three things, of course. It's only a dollar, I tell myself...

When I got back to my car, there was a penny on the parking lot right by my car door. I swear it wasn't there when I went in. What a coinky dink!

I know for those of you who go somewhere to work, today is probably a day off. Hope you're enjoying it! Today is just like any other day to me since I work from home. The main difference is that the library and post office are closed, but I'll live. I hope everyone is having a good day off work!

Around 11:30 today, I took a walk, nothing exciting, just around the neighborhood. I found 8 pennies! One was a Canadian penny, but they're all good enough for my found money jar!

Sixlets for Me and I Found 13 Cents!

Yesterday my granddaughter came to visit and she brought me a big ol' box of Sixlets! I love Sixlets! If you've never had them, they are round chocolate candies with a candy-coating shell packaged in long cellophane sleeves. You pop them in your mouth and they are yummy!

Then today before I went to the grocery store, I took a walk and found 13 cents! 

Have you ever eaten Sixlets? Do you like them or are you more of an M&Ms kind of person? (Personally, I like them both but Sixlets are so fun for a change!)

Today I Found Two Pennies

Today I found a penny in the parking lot and then later on a walk, I found a second penny. 

I am still waiting to find some bills. In the 2-plus years since I've been tracking my found money on this blog, I haven't found even one! I have to find one!

Found a Canadian Penny

Today after volunteering at Learning Ally, I took a walk in the alley behind the office complex with my magnet. It was such a beautiful day and I wanted to enjoy it a little. In front of a garbage can, I spotted this Canadian penny, maple leaf side up.

I think it's so pretty! And I just noticed that it's not perfectly round. Little straight edges make up the sides. So nice!

Found Two Pennies in the Street

Today I rode my bike around the neighborhood. Right into my ride, I spotted a penny on the street. I stopped and picked it up then, there was another just a few feet ahead. Someone had a hole in their pocket.

Found Another Penny at the Post Office

Today I rode my bike to the post office and found a penny there! I was on such a streak for a few weeks that lately it seems like I must be walking right by (or on) coins that I don't see. So, I was glad to find something today. 

On the way home I spotted a grapefruit tree with low-hanging fruit and stole (yes, stole!) three grapefruit. Yum!

Found a Penny in Scottsdale

Today I volunteered then went to both the Phoenix library and the Scottsdale library. On the way home, I parked the car and took a little walk in Scottsdale. I found a penny by the side of the road!

Found Five Coins on a Walk

Today I went to the post office to mail some things I sold on Etsy. While driving home, I spotted an empty lot, parked the car, and took my trusty magnet for a walk. I found a bunch of junk and four pennies and a nickel! Yay!
