Found a Penny in Prescott

My son and I drove up to Prescott, Arizona today to beat the heat. The high here in Phoenix was 115, but it was a pleasant day north of here. The temperature ranged from 73 to 92 (but we think the 92 was incorrect since just a few blocks away, another bank posted the temperature as 83). The cool weather felt wonderful after weeks of 110+ temperatures!

Anyway, it was very nice to get out of Dodge. When we got to Prescott, it was raining. We walked around the town square and courthouse. The photo shows a war memorial on the courthouse square. Rain is another rarity in Phoenix, so I was in hog heaven! As we walked, I spotted this penny on the sidewalk. Yay!

I went to a thrift store and found some goodies. We went to Willow Lake and walked around the trails and down the dock over the water where we saw a ton of pretty blue dragonflies, several frogs, some fish, and lizards. It still is Arizona, after all.

Check out ParkGrades.com for a review of the Prescott Courthouse Plaza.
