Found 26 Cents on a Walk Today

Today I took a fairly long walk and found some coins. Here's what I found:

  • 2 dimes and 1 penny in the McDonald's drive through
  • 1 penny in a parking lot
  • 1 penny behind a dry cleaners
  • 1 penny in the street
  • 1 penny in a Mexican restaurant drive through
  • 1 penny at a gas station

Have you spotted any money and picked it up lately? I hope so!

I posed my found money next to a label I'm supposed to use when I change the water filter in my Pur water pitcher. I never use the stickers though. Do you filter your drinking water? I love it! It saves a lot of money as opposed to buying bottled water.

Found American, Canadian, and Mexican Coins Today!

Today I ran up to Goodwill since it was half off day. After finding a few things there, I went to a grocery store and on the way, I found a penny in the parking lot.

Then I found the two 10 cent coins (one Mexican and one Canadian) and an American penny in the coin machine at the front of the store. The exchange rates follow:

  • Canadian 10 cent coin is worth $.0918 American (a cent more than our dimes)
  • Mexican 10 cent coin is worth $.0077 American (less than 1 cent)

Then I went to another grocery store and found a dime on the floor. I won't count the Mexican peso since it's not even worth a penny, but will count the Canadian dime as 10 cents in my found money total.

It was fun finding foreign money today!

UPDATE:  I just made a quick run to Fresh and Easy and found 4 pennies there!

Took a 2-Mile Walk and Found 4 Cents

Today I walked about 2 miles (maybe a little more) and really enjoyed the beautiful weather! I found four pennies, three in the street all at different spots, and one beside the sidewalk in some dirt.

My sister sent me this talking pedometer. I'm not sure exactly how to operate it but I figured out how to get it to record my steps. You can see how many steps I took today. After my walk, I took it off so imagine I've walked a few hundred more feet (from my desk and the couch to the kitchen!).

I made some delicious soup tonight. Here's the recipe for creamy two-potato soup if you'd like to try it. It's yummy! And I made enough for four more meals. I froze two containers.

Have you found any money lately? I sure hope so!
