Found a Penny but Grandkids Found More!

Today I met my son and his family at a park. He runs a great Web site called ParkGrades. You can find a park, review parks, and see lots of other info that's park related. So, we go to as many parks as we can! Anyway, while there, I got my magnet out of the trunk and my two grandkids had fun picking up junk with it. We walked in an alley next to the park. We found tons of nails, screws, rusty bottle caps, wire, and more.

While scouring the ground, my granddaughter found a penny, then my grandson found two pennies, then I found a penny, then she found two more pennies! Jackpot!

Six in all! But I'm only counting the one penny I found for this found money blog entry. See the magnet full of stuff? Good times!

Found a Dime and Fresh Grapefruit

Today I went for a walk to enjoy the lovely weather! It is now in the 70s here in Phoenix, sunny and so nice out. As I was walking I spotted this dime in the gutter!

This will be my last found money of 2011 because I don't plan on going anywhere tonight. Do you party on New Year's Eve or stay home like me?

I also grabbed a couple of fresh grapefruit off a tree while walking. The tree was right next to the street and full of fruit. I figured the owner wouldn't miss a couple since there were already a lot on the ground. I ate this one with lunch and it was delicious!

I predict 2012 will be a banner year! For found money and for good fortune. At least I hope so. Happy New Year, everyone!

Took a Walk, Found Two Pennies (sort of)

Today I took a short walk and found this penny. So, why did I say I found two pennies in this blog entry title, you ask. Well, I found another penny but  it was embedded in the street. Perfectly flat. Tails up. I did try prying it up, to no avail. Oh well.

Found Two Pennies in the Parking Lot

I have been a hermit for a few days. I decided to get out and take a walk. I didn't go far but I did find two pennies in the parking lot!

The pig in the photo is on some cute note cards I got for Christmas. Isn't he cute?

Guest Found Money -- My Grandson Found a Penny

Today my daughter and grandson came to stay for Christmas. When he got out of the car, he found (with Mom's help) a penny! He told me "and I'm keeping it!" Good for him! He knows me and those found coins!

Found Three Pennies in the Parking Lot

Today, you guessed it, is half off day at Goodwill. I went to the one near my house and then to Big Lots! (they use the exclamation point in their name--I don't feel THAT excited about the place actually). Then I walked over to the Church's Chicken to use my $2 coupon for 2 chicken tenders, fries, and biscuit, and on the way their found 2 pennies and on the way back to my car, I found 1 more. Yay!

While at Big Lots!, I found this toy (no telling what it is, my grandson might be reading this blog... he's only 4, but you never know). I like the Caution statement in the upper right corner:  Do Not Look Directly at the Sun. Those red things are directly below are 3-D glasses, so I think they're referring to while wearing them not to think you're really a super hero or something.

Found a Penny

Today I ran to the post office, library, grocery store. The usual. I am so predictable, aren't I? Any way, I found a penny. It is in rough shape. I can barely make out the silhouette of Abe. It's even a little warped. It's good enough for my found money jar though!
