Found a Penny While Parked at a Stoplight

Today I was driving home with my grandkids from shoe shopping and was stopped at a stoplight. I glanced out my side window and saw a penny on the median. I put the car in park and hopped out and got it. 

Love being able to collect money I find while in the car! 

I also spotted a penny on the floor at the mall but let my grandson pick it up.

Found 7 Pennies Today on a Walk

This morning I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door and the air was actually sort of cool! It's been so hot lately, usually over 100°F most days for the high. But this morning it was in the low 80s! 

I took a walk!

On the way to the grocery store for a few things I forgot yesterday, I found two pennies in the street in two different places. Then I found two pennies in the parking lot, then three pennies on the floor of the grocery store. 

I'm glad I took a walk because now it's back up above 100. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

UPDATE:  I just took another short walk and found 2 more pennies! That makes 9 cents found today.

Today I drove to the Goodwill since it's half off day. On the way there, I spotted a penny in the street (found money in the street!!), so I pulled over and picked that guy up! It was really beat up, but it's just fine.

Then at Goodwill I found a few things but didn't find any money. I went to two grocery stores and at one found a dime on the floor then a penny! At the other grocery store I found a dime and a nickel in the coin return of a copy machine. Yes! 27 cents!

Found a Nickel on a Short Walk

Today I took a really short walk, just across the street around a commercial parking lot. But I found a nickel so it was worth it! It's so hot out and I really miss taking longer walks. Oh well. When the snow's flying pretty much everywhere else in a few months, I can walk to my heart's content.

I posed the nickel next to a can I'll be using to make a tin can man. I added holes so this guy can have a face! I'll post a photo when I'm done. In the meantime, here are a few of the others I've made along with some other found object art.

Lost Money Experiment and Found Money

This morning I had to mail something I sold on Etsy. I didn't find any money at the post office this time, but when I was walking back to my car I spotted a penny in the street. Yay!

Then I went to the grocery store. While walking in I saw a little stone bench and decided to put a penny there (not my found penny!) and see if anyone would pick it up while I was in shopping. I set a shiny penny on the far edge of the bench then went in the store. 

When I came out it was still there! Granted I was only in the store for 9 minutes, but a woman was sitting on the bench! She could have easily snatched it up but since she didn't I did!

So my first lost money experiment to see if anyone would find money I "lost" was a fail. I think so many people are preoccupied and just don't look.

And yes, I picked it up, acting all surprised to have found a penny!

Today I waited till around 7:00 p.m. to run to the store for a few things. While I was out, I walked through a drive through lane and found two pennies and a dime. Yay!

Today I went to the grocery store for a few things and found a dime and two pennies in the chute of the change tray. They were sitting there waiting to fall so I just nudged them a bit and down they came. Mine, all mine!

This morning I took a walk because it cooled down overnight, I guess from the haboob (dust storm) that blew through the Phoenix area last night.

Today I sold a pillowcase on Etsy so I ran to the post office. While I was close I stopped by the dollar store to return a few things. While I was there, I found four pennies on the floor in three different spots. Yay!

This morning I took out my trash and found a penny in the parking lot. Then I went to Fry's grocery store and I checked the copy machine change tray. There was a nickel in there! Yay!
