Happy Halloween! I Was Treated to Three Pennies

Happy Halloween! I found three pennies today so was treated, rather than tricked! Here's a short article I wrote about trick or treating 2013.

Found Two Pennies at Fresh and Easy -- In and Out

Today I dropped by Fresh and Easy and when I opened my car door, there was a penny lying on the pavement! Then inside after I checked out, I found a penny on the floor near a checkout lane.

Today I Found 2 Pennies

Today I found a penny in the street then one in the parking lot at the grocery store. Yay!

Found All Coins But a Dime

Today I found 4 coins:

• a penny in the street, right by the curb
• a nickel in the street, again, right by the curb
• a quarter in a parking lot
• a penny at the entrance of Trader Joe's

If I'd have found a dime, I'd have found all of the "common" coins. Have you found any money recently?

Found a Penny in the Street

Today I strolled around on the sidewalk outside my complex and spotted a penny lying in the street. Sweet!

Found 11 Cents and Made a Rag Wreath

Today I took a little walk and found a dime in a parking lot. Then later I went to Fresh and Easy and found a penny in the self-checkout tray.

Walked to El Super and Found Two Cents

Today I ventured farther from home and walked to El Super. It's a grocery store that has some mighty good deals on produce. I got two Asian pears, two kiwis, a cucumber, a lime, and a pound of strawberries. All for $3 and change. 

On the way there I found a penny in the street, and on the way home, I found a penny in the parking lot.

Found 13 Cents Today

Today I ventured out on two walks. One was longer and I found three pennies! Then I took a short walk at dusk and spotted a dime in the street. I had to let a car pass before it was safe to nab it.

I started playing Candy Crush Saga yesterday. Oh why, why did I do it?! Do you play this addictive game?

Found 17 Cents Today

I went to the post office, library, and Fry's grocery store today. I found a nickel and a dime on the sidewalk after I left the post office then two pennies at Fry's. Yay!

UPDATE:  I went out to take out the trash and found a penny in the parking lot!

Found Two Nickels to Rub Together

Today I spent the day watching my granddaughter. We ran some errands. In the parking lot of the dollar store, I found a nickel then later on the floor at Fresh and Easy I found another nickel. I now have two nickels to rub together, as the saying goes.

Found 2 Pennies on a Walk

Today I took a walk and found these two pennies. I found both in parking lots (two different ones). 

I also found some aluminum cans that I picked up then put in my trunk. I took a load of cans to the recycling center last week so have to start building up the supply again. I love getting $10+ for stuff I find every few weeks.

Found a Penny at Goodwill (and Found a Bunch That Got Away)

I went to Goodwill today (half off!) and found a penny on the floor. Yay! I got to keep this one!

Let me explain, my grandson's been staying with me since Wednesday and we found lots of money, some each day, but he got to keep it all. I think Wednesday we found 11 cents, Thursday, 2 cents, Friday 1 cent, and today 61 cents! He was thrilled and I was happy to let him keep these coins. 

He wrote this story about one of our many walks. His momma picked him up today, so my house is quiet tonight. I miss him!

Gassed Up and Found 11 Cents

Today I ran several errands but it wasn't till I was on my last one that I found some coins. I went to fill up my car with gas and found this dime and penny at the Shell station. 

The penny is an older one and has an S (San Francisco) mark. I don't find many of those.

I posed this found money next to a cool cat ornament a friend sent me. I love it! Here's another that is just so sweet! Wouldn't it look nice on your Christmas tree?

New Tire and Eight Pennies

Saturday I went to Discount Tire for an air check. One tire was low on tread and needed to be replaced, so today I headed up to Discount Tire for a new tire. Instead of sitting there waiting the hour and 15 minutes, I took a walk along the busy street, and you guessed it! I found some money:

• 3 pennies at Sonic
• 1 penny in the drive through of KFC
• 1 penny on the sidewalk
• 1 penny in the street
• 2 more pennies at Sonic

On my way, I walked through Sonic's parking lot and found 3 pennies then on the way back, I did the same thing and found 2 more pennies, which just proves that public areas are like streams. They're never the same but are always changing.

They sprayed my tires with something like this. They all look bright and shiny like a new penny! Well, like black tires actually. 

In the photo, see that black thing with the red light flashing? I have no idea what it is but the flasher part still works. Cool. Glad I picked it up.

Took a Walk, Found 7 Cents and a Spraying Can of Soda

Today I took a walk up to a busy intersection with a McDonald's and a gas station on one corner, a bank and shopping center on another corner, and a big shopping center on a third. Here's what I found:

• As I was meandered through some parking lots, I found 2 pennies.
• At the gas station, I found 2 more pennies next to a gas pump.
• I crossed the street and found another penny in the dirt of a flower bed.
• Then I headed home and spotted a soda can under a bench at a bus stop. I rolled it out and it started spraying! Someone must have dropped it and yep, it was like a fountain! I didn't have my camera to snap a photo of it spraying. It was pretty funny! Finally I just popped the tab and dumped it out.
• On the street next to the bus stop I found 2 more pennies.

Seven pennies in all. And a soda can that cracked me up!

Found Another 17 Cents

Earlier this week I found 17 cents (a dime and 7 pennies). Today I found 17 cents (a dime and 7 pennies). Go figure!

I went for a walk today and found the dime and 3 pennies first on a sidewalk then found 3 more pennies in the street. Next I walked through a car wash and found another penny.

While I was out I snapped some photos of padlocks. Yes, padlocks.

Update:  I just took a short walk and found a nickel!

Found a Penny in the Street and Lots of Monitoring Well Covers

This evening I took a walk, and in a one-block stretch, I saw so many of these monitoring well covers. There had to be at least 8 or 10. I wonder why there were so many all in a row? Hmmm. If anyone knows, leave a comment please!

I walked on a bit and spotted this penny in the street. Yay!
