Found a Penny on the Floor of the Grocery Store

I stopped at Fresh and Easy to see what goodies they had marked down today. I got a big bag of buns, sour cream, lettuce, and bags of York Peppermints and M&Ms! Score!

When I was checking out, I spotted a penny on the floor next to the register. Score again!

Lucky Day! Two Sets of Found Money Today!

Well, maybe you saw my other post for the money I found earlier today while taking a walk. Five pennies!

I just went out to take out the trash and walked around the parking lot while I was out. I haven't found any money in the parking lot here for awhile, but I like to keep looking. Today I got lucky--I spotted a penny in the farthest parking space. Yay!

Today I had to run to the post office so afterward I took my trusty magnet for a walk. The weather is so nice these days for a walk, so I'm taking advantage of it every day I can. 

Soon enough it's going to be boiling here and I won't even want to walk to my car let alone take a walk.

I found five pennies! I also found some good junk. I'm going to make another tin can man from an evaporated milk can. He's all punched and ready to go so I'll work on it tonight. I'll post a picture when he's all done!

Took a Walk and Found Four Pennies

Today I ran a bunch of errands, but I didn't find any money. Dang.

So, I took my magnet and walked up and down parts of a couple of alleys. I happened to choose alleys today that had barking dogs, and frankly, I didn't want to hear it, so I left and picked a new alley only to find barking dogs in all of them. But I did manage to find four pennies! 

I posed them next to some cuff bracelets I listed in my Etsy shop. I love the colors!

Found a Penny in the Change Tray at Fresh and Easy

Today I went to Fresh and Easy and scoped out most of the change trays. In one, I found this penny! 

He's posed next to a clay snail my son made many, many years ago. I have a case of the Mondays (feeling sort of slow and sluggish). Know what movie that phrase is from?

Took My Magnet for a Walk and Found 9 Cents

Today I had to go to the post office to mail a package. No money, except what I spent.

Then I went to two Goodwill stores because it's half off day and it's a free country. Why not? No money, except again what I spent.

Then I missed a turn so decided to park and walk down an alley with my magnet.  The weather is marvelous. Mid-60s so very nice out with the sun shining and a slight breeze. Right away I found three pennies in the middle of the alley! 

Here's a magnet that's just like mine except the magnet part on mine is square. You can get yourself one and take it for a walk on nice days, too!

Then I walked to the end and on the way found another penny. As I was heading back to my car, I saw something round that my magnet didn't pick up. It was sort of embedded in the mud. It's been raining here lately so the ground was squishy in places. It was a nickel!

Found a Penny Outside Fresh and Easy

Today I ran to the post office then to Fresh and Easy. Hadn't been there in over a week! 

So, as I was walking in, I saw a penny on the sidewalk. I've found a couple other pennies in that same spot so I look each time now. Yay!

Found 14 Pennies on a Walk

Today was another lovely day out, so I took a walk with my magnet. I headed to the library but on the way stopped and walked down an alley. Right away next to a garbage can, I found 2 pennies. I kept going and eventually found 14 pennies in all!

Some of them are kind of old and I wouldn't doubt if they've been there the whole time. One is bent and 4 are such a mess, I can't read the dates. As you can see in the photo they were all filthy dirty. I had to rinse them off to try to read the dates at all.

Happy Presidents' Day! I Found 39 Cents!

Okay, it's been ages since I've found big money, like a quarter! And today I found a quarter plus a dime and four pennies while taking a walk! The weather here is perfect, and in a few days it's supposed to rain so I decided to get out there and walk while it's nice. (And in a few months it'll be so hot I only walk to my car and inside stores, etc.)

The first coin I found was a penny down an alley. I didn't take my magnet but I did pick up random crap like nails and bottle caps. I need to make those tin can men so like to keep the supply built up. 

Then I was heading back home, happy I'd found at least one president on Presidents' Day and was walking on the street at an intersection. It was a residential area and no cars were coming, so I started trotting across the street when a shiny silver thing caught my eye. It was a quarter! 

Here's a photo, though it's not great quality. There was also a dime and two pennies all in one spot so I'm guessing someone was walking or riding a bike and out the money fell. Lucky me!

Then I was headed home, almost there and spotted another penny in the gutter part of the street. Whoopie!

Found a Dime on the Floor in the Dairy Section

Today I went to Fry's and did some "big" shopping. They had tuna for 59 cents a can and beans for 69 cents a can plus other stuff on sale. As I was walking to the cheese area of the dairy section, I saw something that looked round on the floor. 

I couldn't tell what it was but waited while a guy walked right over it twice. When he was out of the way, I walked over and it was this dime! 
Some people really aren't very observant sometimes.

I'm getting ready to make a few more tin can men so I posed the dime next to the cans I'll be using. See the holes I poked in the cans?

Found a Penny on the Sidewalk

Today I took a walk before lunch and as soon as I crossed the street, I spotted this penny! I usually don't cross the street but decided to today. Good idea!

I walked for quite awhile and ended up walking almost an hour. The weather was perfect. Low 60s. Hope we have a cool spring and not-too-hot summer. I can hope!

Found Two Pennies in Parking Lot at Fresh and Easy

I went to the botanical gardens today with a friend and walked around for almost 3 hours! Time flies when you're gabbing with a friend. 

We spotted this little cactus that looks like it has snow on top. The high today in Phoenix was 63 degrees Fahrenheit, so of course it's not snow. It was some sort of fuzzy white growth. Maybe flower buds?

On the way home I stopped at Fresh and Easy (yes, I love that store!) and found two pennies in the parking lot in front of the store.

Found Six Pennies in a Parking Lot

Today I took a walk and as I was almost home, I crossed the street and checked out a parking lot near my house. I've found money there before so figured I'd give it a whirl. Sure enough, in one parking space I spotted three pennies then I walked on and found three more pennies! Woo hoo!

Today I hit two Goodwill stores (half off day!). At the first one I found a nice little bookcase I need. Can we ever have too many bookcases? I also found quite a bit of other stuff, but that bookcase was the winning item. As I was leaving the store, I found a dime on the floor.

Today I went to a screening for another drug study. As I was walking into the building, I spotted a penny on the ground between two cars in the parking lot!
