Found a Penny in a Parking Lot

This morning I ran some errands and found a penny in the Walmart parking lot. Yay!

Found Four Pennies at Michael's

Today I ran out to run some errands before it got too hot. I bought some blockout fabric at the fabric store to add another layer to my patio door that faces east. The morning sun coming in the spare room is horrible. This should help.

Then I drove to Michael's for a few things I actually needed. And speaking of Michael's, have you taken the kiddos to any of their Crafts Around the World events? Saturday they're making crafts from the United Kingdom. The schedule goes through July 30. Check it out here.

While I was checking out I spotted four pennies on the floor. Yay! This month has been slim pickin's and I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever find another cent.

Found Two Cents Today

I am a cheapskate (one reason for tracking my found money) and love to get a deal. Kohler Academy is a "beauty school" for lack of a better term in Snotsdale, and they run specials each month. One of July's deals is the cheap-o 8 dollar haircut! This is cheap no matter where you go but their regular prices are $15 or $20 depending on the level of the student. Score! I made an appointment and braved the 100 degree heat to get a haircut.

I was lucky; the girl (they are all girls, young women really but girls) who I got was graduating soon. In fact her last day is tomorrow. So of course since I can't ask for her next time, she gave me the best haircut I've had in years. I really like it. She did what I wanted and it looks good.

As I was leaving, I spotted a penny in the parking lot. Yay!

Then I stopped by Fresh and Easy on the way home. Have to stock up for our "winter" (too hot to get out). I found another penny on the floor inside. Yay again!
