Found Treasures on a Walk -- Check It Out!

Today I found a penny on the floor of the grocery store. Thrilling, I know! But this evening on my walk, I found more coins!

Here's what and where:

• a quarter in the street
• a penny at a gas station
• a penny at a fast food place and then 3 more pennies in the drive through
• six pennies in a parking lot

Found 15 Cents at Two Shopping Centers

This morning I had a screening for a drug study and on the way home, I stopped at a grocery store for a few things. On the way out, I spotted a penny on the sidewalk!

Then I stopped at another shopping center where I've found some money before. I didn't need a thing there, just moseyed around looking for coins. I'm glad I did! I found two pennies in a drive through lane, a penny on the sidewalk, a dime in a parking space, and another penny in the parking lot. 

I just love finding money! I posed them next to some skull earrings I made. I'll take these to a gift shop today or tomorrow.

Found Money Blog: Six Pennies at the Gas Station

This evening I took a walk and found myself just a block away from a gas station, so I trotted up there. Glad I did! I found 5 pennies all together under a window wash receptacle then I found another penny in front of a gas pump.

Yay!

This evening I walked to Sprouts for their double ad Wednesday sale. I found a few things, mainly black grapes for 69 cents a pound. Yummy! On the way there, I found a nickel in my parking lot, a penny in the street, another penny standing up in a crack in the gutter, and a dime in the street.

Then I shopped.

As I was leaving the store, I found a penny in the track of the door, then another penny beside a water vending machine, a penny beside a car in the parking lot, and finally another penny in a drive-through lane.

Found 12 Cents and Made Some Cactus

Today I ran a bunch of errands and lucky for me, I spotted some money! 

• First I found a penny in the street, well, it was really in the gutter, but close enough!
• Then I found another penny on a bench as I was walking on a sidewalk on the way to the grocery store!
• And finally in the grocery store, I pawed in the change tray of the copier and out fell a dime! Right on the floor. I snapped it up and went on my way!

Found a Dirty Dime at Goodwill

Today everybody and their dog was at Goodwill (well, at two Goodwills) shopping mostly for Halloween costumes, I think, though people checking out had a variety of stuff they were buying. 

Anyway, the lines were long and as I was standing in line at the second store, I spotted this dirty dime on the floor. I'm really surprised I saw it but so glad I ddi!

Found 12 Cents Today on a Walk and in the Grocery Store

Today I walked to the grocery store because I just needed a few things. On the way, as I walked through a parking lot, near an ATM I spotted two pennies on the pavement. Then in the grocery store I found a dime on the floor by the coin machine. 

I made these vintage button pendants this evening while watching Inspector Lewis. I just love these buttons, but I decided instead of hiding them away in my button jar, I'll share them with others. I've listed them on Etsy if you want to check them out.

I love how my found money total is growing this month! It's the cooler weather, of course.

Found a Bunch of Coins Today

Today I found coin after coin after coin. I love it! Each one brought a smile to my face!

First thing this morning I went to the doctor for a physical and got a flu shot. That's a first for me. But after having the shingles, I don't want to be sick again!

But back to the found money; here's what I found and where:

• a penny on the floor by the checkout register at the grocery store
• a dime in the parking lot
• a penny in another parking lot as soon as I got out of my car
• two more pennies inside another grocery store
• a quarter in the self checkout change tray
• a nickel in the parking lot

That makes 45 cents found today. Love finding multiple coins and all of the popular denominations! Yes, I would have loved to find a half dollar coin and some Susan B. Anthony coins but I didn't, and that's okay.

And hey! I just checked and one of the pennies is from 1945! So cool!

Found a Penny in the Street

Today I found this penny in the street. The sun hit it just right and it was bright and shiny. When I moved closer, it blended in with the rocks and street so I felt lucky that it caught my eye.

Found 83 Cents Today and Made Some Prim Mug Rugs

This morning I took out my trash and found a penny in front of the dumpster. Yay! I was plenty happy with that, but there's more! 

This evening I took a walk and found, get this, 81 cents (a penny, a nickel, and 3 quarters) at a restaurant parking lot! Double yay! Then I strolled through a gas station and by one of the vacuums, I found a penny! Triple yay!

I just love finding lots of money! I posed my found money next to the primitive mug rugs I made today. I listed them for sale in my Etsy shop if you want to take a look.

Today on my walk I found 5 coins totaling 23 cents. So, what were the coins? Go ahead, do the math.

Ready for me to tell you? Like you haven't already looked at the photo and figured it out from there, right? And yes, I'll be adding that cute little bird pin to my Etsy shop. Probably tomorrow.

Yep, it was 2 dimes and 3 pennies. Yay! I found 1 penny in the street while I was crossing at a crosswalk, a dime in a fast food parking lot, another penny at a gas station, another penny at a second gas station and finally another dime at a car wash. Yippee!

And my friend sent me the book The Painter today. I have already read this book and loved it! Have you read it yet? If not, I highly recommend it and Peter Heller's first novel The Dog Stars.

Found a Penny on a Ledge and Play Money

Today it rained here cooling it off nicely, so around 4:30 I decided to take a walk. I headed to the shopping center with two groceries stories, not really in need of anything but knowing by taking my money along I'd walk that far and get a bit more exercise.

After leaving one store with a couple of kiwi fruits,  a few tomatoes, and a bunch of kale, I spotted a penny on a ledge of the building. Sweet!

I went to the second store because I really wanted an avocado but all of the small ones at the first store were way too ripe. So, I got one at the second store plus a big roll I can use for two sandwiches along with a package of sharp cheddar cheese. I didn't find any more money but that's okay.

Well, I lied. On the way home I did find a play dime. It caught my eye, looking just like a real dime at first glance! So I picked it up and brought it home so I could show you. See? Found Money Blog: Found Two Pennies on a Walk Today

This evening just before dark I set off on a short walk and I found two pennies. Of course since it was just before dark, it was pretty much full dark by the time I got home. Note to self:  Have to leave home earlier and earlier each day!

On my walk, I took along a tote bag and I'm glad I did. I found six aluminum cans to add to my stash to take to the recycling center. Last visit I had enough for $18. Not bad for picking up random cans as I find them.

So, where oh where did I find these two pennies? One was on a sidewalk near one of the cans I spotted, and the other was in the street in front of a car wash.

Found 8 Cents and a Man Who Finds Lots of Money and Donated It to Help Cats

Today I found four coins:

• a penny and a nickel under a bench at an outdoor shopping mall
• a penny in the street while I was parked at a red light
• a penny on the floor of the grocery store

I was thrilled to find these coins, but listen to this! A man in Florida, Rick Snyder, has been finding money for 10 years and recently donated it all to help cats. What a guy!

Found 13 Cents, a Giant Nail, and a Light Lighter

Today I went to two grocery stores and at one, I found a dime under a water vending machine. At the second one, I found two pennies, one on the floor and one in a change tray at the self-checkout line. This penny was wedged in sideways but I was able to realign it and get it to fall down the chute.

Then this evening I took a short walk, and I first found a light lighter (it looks like an optometrist's light) that actually still works! Then I found a penny in a parking lot, and finally I found the giant nail shown in the photo.

I saw this optometrists' eye chart lighter on Amazon. Cool, huh?

I just love finding good junk and money!
